The Suite Romane (“Roman Suite”) evokes the mystery and magic of the Eternal City, a place that has inspired countless works of music and art. Madame Decruck lived in Fontainebleau at the end of her life, where she wrote her Suite Romane in 1950. It’s not clear when, or even if, the work was performed during her lifetime. Matthew Aubin has engraved the score and parts for modern performance.
